Our Process

1. AirECMO fields requests to fulfill our services, providing an initial quote for the respective service at the time of initial request;
2. AirECMO Physicians will remotely evaluate the patient, gauge viability, and develop a proposed care plan;
3. Once the quote is approved and our team determines the mission is viable, AirECMO will mobilize our clinical team and take steps to depart to the referring facility;
4. Once we arrive to the referring facility, the patient will be further evaluated on site, then the final care plan will be carried out:
   • Transfer of the patient’s current ECMO circuit to the AirECMO Getinge Cardiohelp device or;
   • Cannulation, initiation of ECMO, patient stabilization, then ultimately transfer to accepting facility via fixed-wing aircraft.
